Upcycled & Handmade
'Upcyled' is a very cool thing! It is similar to recycling but different. Let me tell you.
When recycled, a material is broken down into pieces to make another material. For example, plastic bottles are shred down into pieces, then melted to be poured into the mold to make a different type of plastic bottle.
When upcycled, a material is used in such a way to create a product of higer quality. For example, we find excess upholstery fabric that would normally be used to create a curtain for example, then we take this and convert it into a beatiful dress. This is upcycling.
Each item is a one-of-a-kind, and sizes of different products might differ. Please check our guide to learn how to measure your body's measurements, and compare it with the product information.
We are a Turkey based company and all our products are locally manufactured in Mugla region. We collaborate with local suppliers and producers to create our products.
There are tons of fabrics produced each year globally. And unfortunately, not all productions find a use in practicality. Up to %30 of the fabric produced end up in landfills. But how come?
Imagine a pair of trousers. It has a pattern. When the cut&sew workshop cuts the pattern out of the selected fabric, the remnants of that fabric becomes trash.
Oddly Wear tries to source this kind of fabric that is destined to end up in landfills, and transforms it into a market ready design.
At the moment we are located in concept stores in Turkey.
